Mining..

Anyone know how mining ore under Khazarad works? I've dug for gold like 150 times and gotten nothing.. do you have to be a dwarf to ever get something? If not, are there better places to mine? I know I can't mine in Mithril mines... are there veins in Diamond? Any help would be appreciated, I can't find this stuff anywhere..

you have to be on ore veins and have a pick axe and you don't get pieces of gold, silver, etc...you get ore if I'm not mistaken.

I have pick axe... just every single time I type 'mine ore' I get nothing.
Also, anyone know anything about diamond mines? I know Devil Fiend Malivek roams down there, but in a limited area. My map says you can mine the diamond veins (did a little bit of research), but doesn't indicate what monsters are there or if it's actually possible to mine diamonds out of the rock..

It's not very profitable. You get stones that you can sell.
