with the cells connected to the central 64MB memory through a switched 1024bit bus.
Sony hinted, a while back, that it could total as much as one teraflops, suggesting a four cell architecture.

lol no...ps2 has pulled its weight, gained its dues..ps2 has probably generated more money than any video game console to date, probably more than a few releases of companies put together.. (ie: sega, sega genesis, etc)
Though, PS2 was ahead of it's time..it came out and basically had no competition for like 2 years..Microsoft and Nintendo had to play catch up.
But...with PS3 coming out in 2k5, Microsoft and Nintendo will be well cought up by then..PS will have lost their "lead"...it'll turn into a "fair game" I guess.

Even if it is 2k5 before we see the PS3 it wont matter. By then Xbox will be dead and nintendo and Sony will be all thats left. Xbox is a skinking ship and hopefuly gets yanked sooner than later. As for the PS3.... I'll be waiting. Hope they make it compatable with ps1 and 2 games, cause im not giving them up.

Sony has had a written projection of releases since they first started with their original playstation.
I had a link to it at one point (someone here gave it to me actually) and it showed their plan for playstation, then for ps2 and then online, then ps3 and some other stuff...They have a method to their madness...although we don't see it..but it's their company, they'll run it their way..and if we don't like it, we won't buy it ;)
Personally, I only went with them for Final Fantasy..but now that its going back to Nintendo, so am I.
