Reinstallation

Ok, I have 2 questions, but only one of them needs to be answered ;)

I had MM 1.11k running, and had to reformat. I no longer have my install file for it, however I backed the wgserv directory to .rar and burned it. I reinstalled Worldgroup, and have it running properly, however, if I attempt to overwrite my wgserv directory with the .rar'd version, I get an 'Access Violation: Read from 2' error. So, here's my questions:

A) How do I get rid of that access violation 2?

B) Failing that, is it possible to install MajorMud without actually having the install file? I have all the files I need technically in the .rar, I just need to know which ones are actually the MajorMud files, then figure out if Worldgroup will let me load it without it being installed..

I did a couple searches but didn't find any answers to either (Access Violation was in a few threads, but there were no answers). Anyways, thanks in advance for any help you guys can give :)

Okay try this. Only extract the wcc*.* files from the rar.. do not overwrite the non wcc files.

what is the file that it has the error on? there are a few files that you can safely delete if they become corrupted and wg will recreate them upon startup.

Ok I extracted the wcc*'s, and copied the old wgserv.cfg as well, now when I load WG it gives me a 'BTRIEVE OPEN ERROR 12' on wccrace2.dat...

Syn: It didn't specify a file, I would run the server and it woud come up with 'Access Violation on 2'.

Ugh tried to install the downloadable demo from majormud.com then overwrite the wcc*'s, that didn't work even a little... This is becoming exceptionally frustrating. Can anyone point me towards a working installer for 1.11k? I'll just do a fresh install and re-edit my changes.. *grumbles* Not sure if that's faux pas to ask for here, but my current files are just going nowhere..
