proxy servers suck. you have to somehow get them to foward you telnet request through it. my best suggestion is to get a linksys router. since you already have a hub you can get one that just has two ports on it (for outside and inside). that will make all of your computers be able to access the internet as if they were on the internet themselves (with the exception of people trying to make direct connections to you which you'd have with a proxy server anyway).
what proxy server are you using though if that's not an option? if you are using MS proxy 2.0 or something, try installing the ms proxy client on each computer. that usually fixes these types of problems.

Not only do they work nice with a board they also are extreamly easy to setup and have a strong ass firewall.
Proxy's are allright but in the long run, a router is even better.
You get more out of them.

AnalogX,i've tinkered with it. Only one i found worked worth a damn is WIngate. If you run Win2k or above just use ICS.

Unfortunatly, I'm using win98. I doubt he's going to change his proxy server either. Hopefully he's going to get a router soon. But who knows. Unless I can figure out how to get around analogX. I'm stuck till he gets a router, or someone gives me a better idea. I've tried everything I can think of.

No kidding Ghostie... If the guy wants to run the board on his box, thats all cool but shit, what your doing is leeching off him.
Dont think your board would be to happy to see him turn off his computer one night
