Woot, punctuation. You are a cool noob.

1: You can find empty rooms by simply using Nightmare and going to the ending #. You should start with any map you want, and use a room # like 5000 for easy referencing. I believe there is one map that does not let you enter it, I think it's 2 or 13 (not sure, just going off the top of my head). There is a post around here about it somewhere. Just start with the map that does barren hills (16?) and try to go to room # 5000. If it exists, go to 6000. Repeat until you get to one that doesn't exist, then start your edits there.

2: Bankbooks hold the information of how much money you have in the bank.

3: Custom quests are simple after you learn all the text blocks. Nightmare comes with a textblock faq, and we can also answer your questions here. The best way to go about making a new quest is to look at existing quests and go from there. Start with a quest that you aren't going to put in the game so that you can get some experience with it first.

OK, i'm i bit confused when i create a new room, like im trying to create a room that is up from the down in newhaven. I'm trying to make it a instant regen room, that will regen a battle dummy, and that is lvl restrict to lvl 20. I selected the room editor, then selected the map editor, ran it to the room where i wanted to create. then i selected up, it said: Do you want to create this rm? i clicked ok, then it asked me: do you want this to be an existing room? i clicked yes. It asked me for existing room and map number: for map number and room number ? i put in 16 for map, and 5000 for rm.. what i got is room doesnot exist. Can you walk me threw 1 room creating..? I like to make an new area, but i dont want to screw this up !

First off, there is an excellent faq on creating rooms provided with Nightmare.

Secondly, you don't want to create an existing room, you want to make a new room. If you create an existing room, you are simply linking rooms (IE: Creating an up exit to a room that already exists, say halls of dead). You need to click no when it asks to be an existing room. This will make a new room. Also, for making a room insta regen, just check out other insta-regen rooms for examples.

DOH! i get it, but when i want to make a room level restrict, do i use block, or level ? and in the para 1, 2, 3, 4. do i use the level, i want to restrict ? Like if i wanted to put a lever there that would take you to a different map number i would use lever, or something like that under the exits tab of the room editor.? what are the para fields use for ?

Read the faq and help files. They can help you far better than I can.
