Lame, maybe, yeah i know he can be killed well before then... but usually the level restrictions are set w/ regards to killing a boss totally solo (ie, no undead minions) and also the restrictions take into consideration preventing lower-lvl guys from getting great AC too early.



Also keep in mind, standard doormud is set at a difficulty designed for your average door-gamer (ie, someone who plays LORD, not someone who has a lot of experience w/ MUDs). For experienced MUD players, hard mode is kind of necessary to make the game challenging... in hard mode all monsters have 25% more HPs and 20% higher damage, among other changes... you'd be having a harder time killing these bosses so early.
