I wouldnt mind Doormud so much if I didn't have to attack every round.

Play a warrior they auto attack after one round, if your casting spells then you need to type that in

If a class can't cast spells, I won't play it.

try a paladin then :D there are plenty of options in the game

Grin... do a look at the mad dwarf leader too, he has an odd text description too, hehe



There's also an "illegal narcotics" item that you can buy in the Arcadia Slums, it boosts your stats but makes you fumble. In beta it also cracked out your display so that every line of text came up in a random color, but that got tedious and overly-irritating to play so I took it out ;)

Standard attacks have auto-combat, as do monk/gladiator martial arts attacks...



The reason most spells don't, is that the combat spells aren't designed the same way as MajorMud's. Whereas in MajorMud, a mage/priest/etc would want to cast their combat spell *every round*, in DoorMUD you usually don't want to do that. The damage spells hit for a LOT more than standard attacks but also use a lot of SPs... so you usually only want to use them 1 or 2 times against a given monster, unless you're doing PvP or a boss-kill (or unless you don't mind waiting a LOT of time for SP regen ticks)



There are some spells that are designed for use every-round though (like lightning bolt), and these ones DO indeed have autocombat.

You wanna check out mudding for stoners try badtrip.moonblade.com port 7778. It's ROM based. Just try it, it's pretty fun. It's called Bad Trip.

Not trying to dis Doormud, tis a bad ass game. Just relating back to the subject of stoner mud.

I tried to check out that stoners game and the thing wouldnt let me in, It wanted a uname so I put one in and it said wrong! and disc. me so I typed in "new" next time and BAM! same thing. Damn stoners...

You don't type new. You type a name that you want. You can't have numbers, it has to be at least 3 characters, etc...
