has been down for over a week due to some major bbs problems and some issues with the patch roll over to 1.11k.



Finally things seems to be running smoothly... i got wg 3.3 working , version k working, FU globals working, and i got ahold of some reliable ops to help out.



so all old players are welcome back, but unfortunately im going to start from scratch so that there arent minor fuckups when adding old dats...



here are the settings/rules



(there are currently NO edits)



-no scripting (includes auto-attack/follow/pickup scripts)

-no automated macros

-User completed macros allowed



-1 extra character is allowed, cannot be played at the same time, and cannot hold lims unless has at least 10% the exp of the main character



-items on characters are reindexed after a week of unuse...

-pvp 7 levels

-10-30% life, up to 3 item drop on pvp hangup

-max 6 people per gang





so if u wanna start "Playing" mud again, and are up for a challenging realm, come check it out...

I haven't played stricly by hand for like 5 years hehe.. takes too long to level up that way. Don't get me wrong.. i do play by hand.. just not exclusively.

I wouldn't mind that, but the whole no automated attacks thing turned me right off.

diminishing minds = carpal tunnel, tendonitis.

"Diminishing Minds" good name..my brain would be a vegitable if I played like that...that's for people with a LOT of time on their hands..lol.

Playing by hand is for DoorMUD :)

well really u only play as much as u wanna play anyways...



if all u care about is leveling up, then you guys are right, and this isnt the board for you....



but as far as atmosphere and game dynamics, the at key mmud is still really good, and from the changes i have seen in k it can be much more beneficial to play by hand if u do boss runs alot...



and it is all relative anyways, most people have jobs, most people have commitments, so you arent losing out when u play by hand because everyone else has to do it too...



after playing by hand now, it really is refreshing to have control over your character, taking risks, knowing when to run from a fight, luring monsters from stacked rooms and shit. i dont think i could go back to watching the comp play for me, its just too damn boring...

Playing by hand on a stock board? Ouch. It takes long enough to get up in the levels by scripting 24/7. I think you'd get a few more people if you drop the exp charts a little. Even by half you'd attract a couple more people.
