Hello,
When you log on to my bbs now, the log on screen has changed for some reason, and you cannot type new. Does anyone know how to fix this problem??
Thanks

sounds like some settings may have gotten corrupted in your WG files or you have altered the settings. i have never heard of them just randomly changing for no reason tho. if all else fails, uninstall it and put up a fresh copy. ***another reason to always keep a backup handy of your entire WG directory IMO***

i think it's an automatic change after 4 users have been created. Because i deleted a user, and then it came back up and i was able to type in new and create another user. Is there a setting somewhere in a config file that you are able to change the maximum amount of users?

can you be more specific? Are you talking about the part where it says to change the amount of channels? That has been changed.. also Worldgroup isn't in DEMO mode, and the number of users that can connect is 255.
Or are you talking about something else?

Thats the same problem i have. I run win2k Advance server, i think it could be something to do with the licensing of the OS i dunno but i can't work it out.

licensing of the OS has nothing to do with WorldGroup. That's like saying your car is running like crap cuz you broke the washing machine :P

Why is it then when i copy my wg directory off my 2k machine directly onto another machine with XP i can create more accounts? Since its nothing to do with licensing then what is it? please help instead of posting these analogies to make me look stupid..

explain how licensing would effect it? You're not using a win2k feature to run the bbs software, so I dont understand how licensing would have any part in your problem.
