having an npc change your race/class (not the dll problem)

I have been trying to figure out if I can have a monster or quest change your race or class as part of a long quest in MUD. I figure that since the number is changable in the class/race settings, then there should theroetically be a way for a monster to access some commands to change them, or at least a textblock command.

does anyone know how to do this?

Laugh, i dunno how you would do it. Setrace? grin shrug. This could be interesting if it could be done though.

would you get to choose the race?

im not exactly sure with the setrace thing havnt seen it used anyhow

I wanted this to be in it (Scenerio from Black Matrix) the demon/angel races rip off their wings and become ascended humans

Very good idea, no idea if it's workable though.

I mean it may have to boil down to a scripted PC in the realm for it

Nah, can't be done within the programming of MajorMud.. even with the sys edit powers you can only change your own race, and there's no text block command to change a player's.. The closest thing you could do is to give them 10x their exp and then make a spell to reroll them :)

That'd be abused by the people picking another race/class they're not suppose to. Plus, people would lose all of their quest flags then. Other than that, very clever idea.
