a few people have been getting the error in mud where the limited items do not show up in the sys list limited or not all of them. The only help i have seen is people saying reinstall mud etc etc or conjure the items and drop em in the right places. i think i only saw one persons post that was along this line but i cant remember who.



I had this problem in the legit realm and didnt want to conjure cos its the legit realm, what i did was install mud into a seperate dir copy your wccuser2.dat and the wccbankb.dat i think it is and you wccgang.dat or whatever to another dir (i didnt think of the bankbook or gang one when i did this) then copy the new files over the old preinstalled ones, do not delete them, then copy your previous dats back over the ones you just copied, load up wg and just have someone sit in the realm while it finishes loading, when finished type sys list limited and the limited items should be on the floor they spawn b4 the monsters i believe they will be removed when you run a recovery (or should be) now you can get the lims and be on your merry way.



This worked in my case but i do not know if this will solve everyones problem with it.



make sure u install the same version that u previously had.

after spending 20 minutes just trying to understand what you were trying to instruct, i think you are saying...



1. copy your users, banks, and gangs to another directory

2. install mud to a another directory

3. copy the files from #2 into your original installation directory

4. copy your files from #1 into your original install directory

5. load up the bbs and sit someone in the halls while it loads



... now at this point you're saying all of the limited items will be on the ground? all you've really done here is installed mud manually instead of installing it by the installer. you're also going to lose any items from your realm that are on the ground or in vaults, along with any monster item drop information. really, all you've instructed to do is reinstall mud in a round about way (which would normally fix your limited item problems anyway).



i'm not trying to flame you here, you just need to understand that i take concern in making sure users of the forum dont get fed incorrect information. i believe that it's just a problem of mud in general with the limited list. i think almost every board i've seen doesn't show every single item in the list. a lot of times the items don't show until the monster that drops it becomes active.

Yeah Mud does like to be bitchie! The old board I was on installed mod9 and a few minutes after, it crashed.

Everyone lost all their equiptment, gold, stats were all fed up, you couldnt even equipt a club lol

damn... forget not all the items showing up, my list doesn't work at all. any ideas on that one?
