Whats the best stable Overclock anyone has gotten? [Archive] - ForumsHQ

IF YOU DONT OVERCLOCK, DONT POST. Already had the posts about how some of you think its a waste of time.
Best stable overclock I had was...
PC2100 @ 324mhz
1600+ 1.4 @ 1.7ghz(almost a 2100+)
162 FSB
Air cooled, with the Asus A7V266-E
I had a crap ram stick, and I fried the ram...notice, however, it was still stable up to that point lol
The ram was holding me back, I could prob get atleast 1.8 with the 1600+ I have now..but the new tbreds come unlocked.
New plans
Asus A7N8X
1800+(or higher) Tbred "B" 1.53ghz
Corsair PC3500
Goal is to get it to 2.0ghz(2400+)
If I can get it to a 2.17ghz, thats a 2700+!!
1800+ to a 2700+ (1.53ghz to 2.17ghz)
Thats a 640mhz OC...I dont think I will be able to, but not impossible!
I know the mobo locks the agp/pci bus, so no problems there, and the ram is stable at 500mhz(default is 434?)
Vmods
Only Vmods I am gonna try is on the GPU. Right now I have a 160cfm fan working, but not mounted yet.
I am getting a new case, a taller case. My generic dvd drive wont slide in all the way, hits the motherboard.
