hey guys lately ive been getting complains on lag...
im currently running a k7 1200 mhz, with 256 ram on a cable modem
i didnt think it should be lagging... but generally i was wondering what kinda things i could touch up to boost my performance?

bandwith it seems is the most important variable in bbs speed. My mud server has constant 3% cpu loads and like 200mb of the ram, but for some reason it lags. DSL and cable suck ass for hosting antyhing on. There are so many bottlenecks and different routes to cable modems, it's sick. If you want like zero lag, get a t or a ds3 or something. Lucky for me i get my mud server on an oc12;) It should get rid of the lag... WG doesn't require shit for cpu or memory resources really...just my opinion though.
