Is there any easy way to trade dat files back and forth?



Tryin to get help adding stuff to my bbs and i thought that trading the wccupda2.dat would be the smallest file to share that has everything but then remembered that only way to get the update file to write to the existing dat files is to run an update and Reck doesn't like opening WG cause it gives him a few ip addy errors ;)



any help would be great.

Well, it's simple...it's all reck's fault!



Heh I should know the answer to this but I'm drawing a blank.

I did this a while back and can't think what I did to accomplish it....really irritating.

for one, set the IP to AUTO in the WG setup to avoid ip address errors during boot. secondly, you could use the NMR export/import feature to transport the data. export it, zip it up & send it, then import it. make sure you're using the latest version (0.7.2) though because it was discovered in the last release that the item's negate spells weren't being exported.

syntax your the man.... btw is it possible to add a feature to nitemare that allows you to look at the update file or to apply the update without running wg?

the txt versions of the export didn't import correctly but the access version did just fine.
