megadud and telnet

ok i have a question when trying to set up a INTRANET how do i go about setting it so that if i want to play it on my own computer that isnt set up for the internet at all that it reacts like it is supposed to instead of trying to login to the internet and all any questions would be appreciative

easy, start up a server and connect to the ip 127.0.0.1

ok how do i find out what the IP of the server is now??? i know there is a command that i use but i forgot its been a while and all hoping that helps a lil bit otherwise am a racking my brains to get this set up right

if the server is on your machine, if you're using win95 or win98, you can start-run-winipcfg
or if you're using 2000 or xp, start-run-cmd, then at the prompt type ipconfig and you can see the ip
but in either case, if you're running it on your machine, you can telnet to 127.0.0.1
or you can see what the ip of the server is by opening your worldgroup setup wizard and one of the boxes defaults to what your ip is.

is there anything i need to do to configure it correctly cuz it STILL not doing it right lmao oh well

damn it didnt at all ok i have a configure |paddr does not match windows tcp/ip setup

i have to use my ip to connect to my board. go to the dos prompt and type IPCONFIG it'll tell ya what the addy is.
