I am only a little sad to say that the future of OMC is a little bleak

right now. I have stopped working on all of the realms. There

are a few reasons.



#1 - Sysoping Majormud is no longer fun for me... The majority of

people who play are all whiney losers who complain about

everything they possibly can.



#2 - I am currently working with 2 people to create an

ENTIRE NEW MUD. Similar in look and feel to Majormud but

with many more creative additions..



We started programing and design last night and hopefully

will have the ball rolling soon. It is being written completely in

java. If any of you programmers wanna get down on this

drop me a line and well chat..



So as much as i hate to say it, OMC will be shutting its doors

soon. I dont know exactly when yet, but i will let everyone know.

maybe you just don't understand majormud...

im just letting everyone know so its not a huge surprise... i

will leave the bbs up until im ready to switch over to our new

completely original realm... so dont worry you have a while

to to play still... at least a few months

That mud blows majormud out of the water. It's a fantasy MMORPG. Around 2000 people play in ONE realm (not like mud and EQ that has different servers) at a time. Basically like everquest, but in text (hate to compare it to EverCRACK). I played it for the longest time, but then couldn't find time for it. It requires a lot of time to play, but it's so worth it. The people that play it have gatherings (SimuCON) every year. I went one year and got fucking plastered. It was fun, but anyways, check out that link and click on the "Info" link to find out more information on it. You'll be blown away.

Im done doing anything with majormud. The mud we are creating

is actually new and original code yes... there are 2 programmers

working on it right now and i have started the creative process..

When I have more to say about the new mud i will.. But right now

we are still designing everything... I can tell you this... None of

the programming will be an issue, the standalone telnet server

is already in the works... and the databases are being created as

i type this... so to answer the question yes it is a new original

mud not a modified majormud.

Yeah there are a lot of cool unix muds... Hopefully the mud we

are creating will be as popular as some of those realms. The

realm we are creating is going to have a majormud look and feel

to it... cause one thing abut majormud: it does look slick..
