scorpion and mine's latest idea is to start incorporating a feature into NMR for premade items/spells/monsters/actions/etc to pick from. You would pick a certain type (ie. item) and it would give you a list of premade items that you could pick from to input into your item database. you could then customize it as you please. we would need a lot of submitions so the question is, do you think you guys could (and be willing to) submit enough stuff if we set up an online form for submitting things?

joeblow likes mad whack edits..

missygirl edits her weapons as legit as possible

numnut makes legit edits for low level players, and god like ones for super highlevel people

---- are you going to make sure they all work w/ one another

---- what if they take spells, text blocks and messages

not a bad idea i guess... but that kinda takes the fun out of

editing imho.. but if someone wanted a hexed up realm fast

that would be the way to go about it...

think of them more as a template. you would see a list of things that people have had success with and get ideas. you could tell by looking at it's values if it's going to be overpowered for you or not. if you wanted to tweak it down (or up) you could do so after adding it. as for the textlbocks and messages, we would just need to make some way for a person to submit the message/textblock along with the spell/monster/item. record numbers wouldn't really matter because you could just change them.

I never said he was off the project. I said I wasn't working directly on the source with him anymore (I would be doing all the coding and he would shoot opinions and ideas). That may change again though. (What difference does it make anyway?)

would it be possible to have these items in a separate file (ie: nmritem.dat) and just click the item in a different window, click insert and have it add that item to the end of the wccitem2.dat?



That way we'd hever have to worry about stepping around metro's adds.

that's the whole idea. it would just be an access database like the export file NMR makes. you could look through a list of whats in there and then insert whichever ones.

You actually wont see any big NMR updates for a few weeks as I'm currently focusing my efforts on something a little more important for the scene.
