Only allow up to 10 or so players in a gang....

what would be the purpose, and/or reasoning for that?

i guess i've never experienced this as a problem, and i personally don't think it's that recurring. i like having a big gang, it gives the lower level guys a sense of belonging... :)

I hate going into a board with 60 players and seeing one gang hold 54 of them. It's retarded. I like the idea of a 10 person maximum. That way, the gang leader has to sit there and decide just who to let into his gang. Most gang leaders go to newbies and say Hey, you wanna be in a gang? That's not how its supposed to be. It's supposed to be people that you enjoy playing with, people that you trust, yadda yadda. Not someone who just logs in and looks lonely. I see this way too much. That's why on most boards I go to, I create my own gang and keep just myself in it. I don't like being one of the 54 people in the same gang. Even if it was 30 people in one gang and 30 in another, its still stupid, imho. A ten user max in gangs would be great. It'd be better if you could increase the group max size to 10 as well. I hate daisy chaining.

I agree, it would be a neat idea. You could easily just institute a policy for the board to not allow more than 10 ppl in a gang. Warning first, gang deletion second, simple.

I think its stupid for the sysop of a board to even be IN a gang unless its ONLY the sysop. I've never been in a user's gang on my board. It shows bias, and as everyone knows, I was a fair, unbiased sysop. Sure, I had my favorites, but I never let on that I did. Havent played on any other boards in awhile, so I don't know if other sysops follow this "rule" like I did, just saying... I don't even know why! Heh.

iv created a gang, and invited EVERYONE.. but then again, i never played and people branched off to make there own...

So have you decided, whats the rule with gang limit? There several of us anxiouslly awaiting your desicion(sp).
