How about a option to turn on and off overlaping when using the "map" feature. It would be alot easier than having to draw up a map, using keys to make map, then going back and editing in exit's to the places that dont connect when they overlap.

I think he means what has been suggested before... putting somewhat of an internal map into Nightmare so when you draw your maps, if you were to go N E S W the west would automatically join up with the north instead of having to tell it to link to that room. That would probably require tons of coding though. I don't know, you're the man. You do what you can, its an awesome program regardless.

whenever i make areas i draw them out on paper first. as i am walking around creating it, i write the room numbers of the intersections down. then when i come to that interesection again with a cross-street, i uncheck the auto-create new, have it select an existing room, and punch in the corresponding room number. i see what your saying though. right now i wish i could figure out a way that i could even draw the map on the screen, let alone keep track of where you are going.

always plan your areas and map them out in notepad or
graph paper etc... there was no way in hell i could possibly
make Waterdeep without doing that..
Waterdeep Map (http://omc.darktech.org/waterdeep.txt)
i also made a map of the same thing but numbered.. before i
even thought about adding a room.. (turned out to be about
1000 rooms)
