Why does my computer lockup at cleanup?



It happened today and it happened yesterday and I don't know what to do to fix this problem.



Also where is the setting to have worldgroup start when the computer reboots? I turned it off a while ago and can't remember how I turned it off :)

cause its a picky bitch heh... cant help you with the crashing but to fix the bootup prob just reinstall wg over itself and this time pick yes to start server auto...

Why, just run the setup wizard again, and its in there..

are you getting a message telling you that another worldgroup process is already running?

when the computer locks up it does just that locks up shows the megamud that i have open and the worldgroup window is closed and nothing else cept everything is stuck and the time says somewhere around 810-820 which is right after cleanup

Although i haven't had that issue in a few days so maybe it's gone

Hmmm so the whole system freezes... what OS are you running?

Win 98 on that computer...

Not to barge in on the conversation or anything, but this is going to take a year to wrap up if you don't provide a shitload of information in one post. What OS, what type of computer, what do you have running along with it, have you had any problems like this in the past, shit like that. Just post a bunch of information you find to be useless and someone else will say Hey, yeah, that looks familiar, try this.

The other worldgroup process or whatever.., do a ctrl alt del and when it shows the programs running.. a couple called (roughly) w2mkde, wgserv etc.. basically anything that starts with wg and that w2mk one.. make them end task. .. then try restarting the server =D

The reason I asked about the other proccess message is because every time I try to run my BBS as a windows service at cleanup I get that error and the BBS never actually loads...
