Our Rights







After hearing that the state of Florida changed its opinion and let a

Muslim woman have her picture on her drivers license with her face covered,

I believe this is even more appropriate. Read on, please!



This is an Editorial written by an American citizen, published in a

Tampa Newspaper. He did quite a job didn't he? He deserves a medal!



IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT.



I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending

some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11,

we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans.

However the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically

correct"

crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was

offending others. I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against

anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. Our population is

almost entirely composed of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a

few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some

born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a multi cultural

community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture our own society, our own language and our

own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles! trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.



We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or

any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society,

LEARN THE LANGUAGE!



"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some extreme,

right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because religious men

and women, founded this nation on Judeo/Christian principles, and this is

clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of

our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part

of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.



If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then

you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are

happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care

how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and

our lifestyle.



Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his

opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But, once you are done

complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national

motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you to take advantage of one

other great American freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.

I hear that I think if they come to get away from or to just come for a better Life I think the should leave there shit behind. They would makes us do what they wanted in there country right... so yea fuck them..

This is not a definition of any American state, or even the federal government.



Our national identity is that of a collective of eclectic cultures and backgrounds. This person is obviously oblivious of this fact. He must be one of those few white ppl that still thinks they are the majority race in this country. Hint: Just because they are called minority does not mean they are the minority. In combination, white people are the minority to all other skin colors. During the slavery trades over 150 years ago...they were bringing boat loads of black men, women and children to the states. There were at least 5 black people to one white person. Even then, black people were not the minority!



This country is founded on the freedom to practice your own religion, freedom to say whatever you want. And so, this person is obviously allowed to speak his mind. However thickheaded his opinion may be.

Yes, I have once or twice thought that if one lived in this country, they should speak English. But then after time, I realized..why should they? They came here for a better life, and English is not a better way...Enlgish is THE hardest language to learn (We all may not think so, but that's because we were raised on it...think about how long it taktes a baby to form the words into simple sentences...many foreign children are speakin well before english speaking children). English has become the slum language. It has been simplified and simplified. Dumbed down...except it doesn't know it. Three words all spelt different but pronounced the same to mean three different things...has everyone ever contemplated the stupidity of that? The oriental languages have one word for everything. Hell, when computers were invented, they had to add the word to their language, and a symbol to their written language, because they have a word and symbol for everything.

Oriental languages are the most complex, but most accurate languages...and as you travel farther west, the language simplifies, and dumbs down. The english language is lacking so much in its language, that it steals words from other languages...de ja vu...lieutenant...etc etc



In God we Trust. Great words...Too bad ppl don't believe in God.

Who sayes we have to? This is a free country, with the right to our own religious beliefs. Maybe someones athiest..maybe agnostic. Thats their choice...But if the government is founded on the judeo/christian principles I am sorry for the government. Look at these so called christians. The only time they do anything christian-like is when they goto church nowadays. Alot of them are God-fearing ppl, so they goto church thinkin it apeases God. I'm not going into that..as its an entirely other discussion...

Why not? Do we wanna be behind the times forever? It certainly looks like we love change...new technology is appearing every day..Miracles of modern science are allowing people to live longer, live healthier, so things they could never do before.

We don't want to change and let other cultures affect us, or influence us..well then, I tell you, don't let them. You can live next to a muslim your entire life, and you have the choice to befriend them, or never meet them. If you don't like their way, then don't bother with it. But then, that's not very 'christian' of you, now is it. The so claled 'christian' way would be to befriend your neighbours and get to know them before you judge them. However, it seems that alot of people still judge a book by its cover. I feel sorry for those people, because they don't know what they are missin...



Once more...This is NOT OUR country or OUR land. NOONE can own land, nor even an entire country. If you look at the big picture entirely, noone can really own anything...Ownership would generally require that you take it all with you when you leave...But, when you leave this world, can you really take it with you? Definately not the land or country...after all, with as many people as have come and gone before us..and if they had taken the land with them, there wouldn't be much of a world left for us, now would there?



But yes, the first amendmant guarantess our right to the freedom of speech, and we can whine, rant and complain about anything and everything our heart desires. And so can someone with the opposite views.

I live in the Tampa area and it amazes me that something so dense could be published. That story deserved less space than the coverage of the Devil Rays latest defeat. That kind of view point is atypical of what is wrong with our country. Lucky for him, our fore-fathers protected his ignorance. Our society was rooted in Christianity, but it wasn't based on christianity. There is a difference. Our government is supposed to run seperately from churches. Ironically, the two most corrupt institutions in the history of man and they want them to be seperated. You think our fore-fathers didn't want competition in that department? Anyways, the writer of that article should be shipped off to a country with a monarchy similar to that of England's of the late 1800's. Maybe then he will realize all of the luxuries afforded the citizens of this country and that his opinion is no more worthy than mine, the president's, the speaker's, the guy in the garbage truck.



English is one of the toughest languages to learn, but you go try learning something like chinese ;)

Way too much shit to read in all those replies for this late at night.. I started seeing words that weren't there.. but patriotism is a neat thing. It's amusing to see how fleeting it really is when it comes down to it.. in the past year I've gone from people telling me my job is a burden on the economy and that I am a worthless son of a bitch for not being able to do better (???!!!??), to being praised as a national hero for doing nothing more than the same thing I have been for the past 3 years.. to where we stand now.. with people talking about how patriotic they are.. and then turning around and giving the slient treatment to anyone who doesn't praise them for being patriotic.. I have to say this much.. I love my job.. I do what I do because it's the most awesome thing I've ever found in my life.. short of perhaps love. That in and of itself is an entirely different story though.. I would like to thank those of you who are genuinely patriotic.. it makes my job that much more enjoyable.. and to those of you who aren't.. supposedly, because I'm in the military, I'm better than you and can't say this.. but eat a d**k. If you don't like it, move. Why should I give my life and love for you?
