Apple Intermediate Codec aka .icod

I need to figure out how to convert a .mov encoded with the Apple Intermediate Codec (.icod) to a PC-friendly format.
VLC, QT, WMP, etc won't play the video, just the audio. I've traced the problem back to the above codec. No converters I can find (Handbrake and the like) are able to handle the conversion.
Any ideas? I don't think I'm able to convert without access to a Mac/Apple computer.. I don't know why my employer won't go back to the video's author and ask him to convert it for us.
