Ah I found a buffer overflow. I will now crash instances of this running game.

I kid, but I bet you that's exactly what will happen.

It's possible, but I always used to be pretty careful about that

Not so much these days, after years of Python, Perl, and PHP...

Hi folks,

I just released the source to my other doorgame, Tournament Trivia, via GPL3:

http://github.com/eelias/tournament-trivia

The closest WorldGroup game it resembles is Farwest Trivia. Hopefully some folks on here played that one back in the day.

If you just want to run it w/o caring about the code, the /release directory contains the contents of the original distribution zip, and the /keygen directory contains a program that lets you reg it. Just be aware that it spits out reg files to e:\ttreg.dat and tries to log crap to e:\doors\trivia\regs.log, so if those drives/dirs don't exist, it might not run properly.

Some nerd talk:
The collection of source code also includes the c++ win32 doorgame engine that I was going to use in a DoorMUD rewrite, but never got around to. Basically it makes multi-user doorgames much easier to write by offloading the bulk of the game engine to a multithreaded background process. Normally, multiplayer doorgames are a bitch to write since there's a process running for each player, and you have to synchronize them... so this engine takes care of that for you, and also wraps a couple different doorkits cleanly for the BBS interactions.
