Uhm.. I think the idea was that they don't want you to kill Jorah, ever.. and you should be penalized for doing such or even having the capability to do so. It's a quest-based NPC and they don't want people intentionally killing it. If Jorah had high exp and dropped cool items, and the room-spell while moving "bug" was IN DAMAGE INC's favor, they would just brag about how awesome they are.

Jorah was never meant to be killed,

Solution: Don't kill Jorah

hey, what do you know, another chump who just freshly got owned by DI weighs in with his biased and ignorant opinion.

Your stated intent: "Jorah was never meant to be killed,". Your solution: "Solution: Don't kill Jorah". Any of my specified solutions accomplish the goal better than the existing ether death spell...

PS - moving while having combat engaged isn't a bug. Also, if it did drop cool stuff, we would brag about killing it. It only takes one simple tactic, but still requires more cleverness than any of the clods that play your board would be able to muster.

the simplest and most effective solution..

Because just not killing Jorah is too hard for you. Ahahaha. Incompetent fuck.

The problem isn't that you killed him,the problem is you should never have been able to hit him in the first place.

room spells ignore spellimmu. i agree that he was not intended to be hit/killed. One of my proposed solutions was to make him virtually unkillable by massively increasing hp and hp regen. That would effectively solve the problem.

What gets me is how Jorah killing you, if you kill him, is a problem to you. Not only is that a problem for you, it's one you think the game needs to be changed over. Your stubborn insistence that you cannot be held responsible for who throws room effect spells in what areas is just icing on your moron cake. If that happened to anyone with more than 2 brain cells, they'd just avoid killing Jorah by, you know, actively controlling their characters, paying attention to the game, changing their habits or finding some other way to not die from an NPC. This is why it's so much fun to point and laugh at you. The way you carry on, I'm surprised you don't get killed trying to leave Newhaven. You'd go sit in the river, get smashed up against some rocks, and then say the game needs to be changed because you can't be bothered to actually know what your character is doing.

I actually like the fact that Jorah takes you out with him. Don't change it. "We" can just constantly kill himself. It will be fun. We can all watch.

i dont know why you think this is something i cant or wont work around, or that this has happened more than once.

The point is this: The game would be better if my proposed changes were implemented. That is pretty much all there is to it.

If you disagree, at least one of these is true:
- you are just trolling
- you are wrong

If you room Jorah you should be in danger of getting killed. If you disagree, one of two things is true:

-you are just trolling
-you are wrong

See what I did there

I don't disagree. but the danger should be limited to an amount reasonable for a monster worth its exp (1000 exp?). 25000 room damage doesn't fit that description.

Presumably, this edit was put in place to discourage killing of Jorah. It is a poor solution for that goal. Any of the solutions I recommended would be better, as would simply making Jorah instant regen. The current solution doesn't do anything to prevent killing Jorah - all the damage comes after it dies.
