Hey all,

i think i have 1.11o or p, don't recall already.
Anyway, have nightmare redux,
but was wondering if there is any way to make events?

I was thinking towards once in X bbs time the game will spawn specific creatures to roam X room or something.
Maybe even a non-stopping stream of respawning creatures to roam room X.

we have a few ideas and we're building up a new mod for it, so that's kind of important to decide how the mod will look like.

for now we are 6 people working on it.

Thanks for the help.

Was this written in another language and then sent through an internet translation site?

LOD? You're all 60...? Eh?

Sure, piece of cake.

Just set up a bot via megamud that has access to sys go support. Look at the sys go support commands, some of them summon attacks on particular areas. Then make a new command similar to them, and have the bot use that command as you see fit via events in megamud. This means you can summon any monster to any room, by using a summoning room to do the 'dirty deed'.

If you do not want it in support, there's plenty of ways to hide the room so no one else can get to it. Some of them only work if people don't have the MME dats, some of them work in other ways.

Was that clear enough?

Email larkinikral@gmail.com if you want faster replies. I'm done messing with my board for a while, so I won't be stingy on sharing intricate details of mud editing.

As for roaming monsters, mud doesn't really have the coding for this. If you make sure an area has the same controlling room, monsters can roam from one room to the next, but they don't really do so frequently. There's no way to get them to patrol, for example. But patrolling monsters is a great idea, I can see sneakers scouting ahead to help people avoid a patrolling boss...
