i hypothesize that there could possibly be stars sand rocky planets the size of galaxies.

i don't think they would be rocky planets because enough mass/gravity super heats and trashes the elements.

a planet that size would be like me after a pizza and some beer - a gaseous giant

trust me, in logic if rocky mass and fusion matter { stars } can be the size of city's or solar systems, than they can be as big as galaxies.

i was just thinking of critical pressure or a critical point of such a large mass.

i rule nothing out though. How would a planet like that form?

its easy for a Galaxy sized star " all mater within the Galaxy, is pulled into the center before the core goes nova, because stars like ours need fuel, the more fusion-matter the bigger the star.

and as for galactic-planitoyds, if the matter sourounding a massive Galaxy core that is made of a Gas giant, once the gravity becomes exponential it would have no critical, and its gravity would reach the point of a Galaxy core, pulling in all degree of matter, creating a Galaxy sized planetoids.
