Micromegas by Voltaire, probably my favorite philisophical story.

Anyone read this?

If not here is a link, just a short story. The ending is great!

If already read, or if anyone reads, post some thoughts please.

That was a very interesting and enlightening read! :)

I had oft wondered at the size of the life of another world. Never did I think about such large creatures that might inhabit other places.

Thanks for that link :)

I suggest ppl to read it if they haven't already :)

The Gunslinger series is awesome!!!

Seemingly set millenia in our future, but you can't tell for sure ;)

King also co-wrote a book, called the Talisman with Peter Straub, and they wrote a sequel which I just bought a few weeks ago...the talisman rocked...interdimensional stuff, and all kindsa kewl wierd stuff..haven't gotten far in the black house tho (thats the sequels title)

King is such a great author, almost all of his books are tied in some how. The Black House references the Dark Tower from teh Gunslinger series. Insomnia references the Crimson King, which is also mentioned in Rose Madder, The Talisman and the gunslinger series :)

Its as if he's writting many stories that are all intertwined in the world of this crimson king and the dark tower itself. Very very wierd...I love it :)

Talisman and Black house rocked! Black House starts out slow, but stick with it, you actually get to glimpse the Crimson King a bit in there as well as some of the high level breakers. As for the Crimson King, hes trapped at the highest level of The Tower and is using "Breakers" to break the beam that supports the universe to free himself. EXCELLENT AUTHOR!
