388,xxx klicks and she is still going. The idle problems have been traced to cold weather. Once the engine totally wamrs up, it idles normal. Didn't have any issues this past summer.

The mazda is going to the wrecker as soon as I get my new truck running properly. I bought a 1994 Ford F150 with the 300 inline 6. So far I've had to replace a fuel pump & filter, the alternator, and ignition coil (not installed yet), just over 200,000 miles on the engine, but she is still running strong, until she gets warm, then it slugs and chugs, and stalls, I lose all power. Dad thinks its electrical (we'll see)..

Just put a radio in my hooptie that probably is more valuable than the car itself.

This cold weather always brings on numerous car problems. I've been neglecting a slight intake manifold leak on my 3.1 GM for over a year now, this winter it's to the point where i'm leaving big ass clouds of smoke in low rpm. It's too cold for me to screw around with it till spring, so hopefully my trusty Chevrolet will hold out that much longer.

Vacuum leaks will also give you serious idle problems when it's this cold out. You might wanna spray down your lines with soapy water to check for leaks.
