So I bought my first 4x4 on Sunday. I got a 1989 Chevy S10 2.8L V6. Its a cheap project truck. Like all S10's she is rusted out, I found a 1991 body, the box is being replaced with a flat deck, the engine and drive train only has 177,582 original kilometers (110512.109 miles). It was owned by a park ranger for 14 years, and parked for 3. Needs a muffler, mine is missing all together. So I'm gonna put side pipes on her.
Pictures are from the ad on CL where I bought her for $200.00

i used to own a 92 s-10 with a 4.3 v6, i also owned a chevy cavalier z24 with the 2.8 v6 multiport it was an 89 so i believe its probably the same engine if so watch cause they have problems with throwing rods a lot from what i hear... one day i went outside to start it and it was about 5 degrees out and as soon as it fired up it shot a rod through the oil pan.... after that i heard from a few people that it was common with those engines anyways this is what your s-10 will look like if it hits a tree at high speed

This is my 2nd 2.8L, my last was in a Pontiac 6000, and I would be still driving it, if I hadn't totaled a 1986 Honda Civic. I gunned all 128 ponies, and that Honda was poof right there outta thin air. I hit it so hard, I broke the passenger side axle, and pushed the motor over by 4", Very little actual damage was done to the 6000, I destroyed the front clip, busted both headlights, and bent the bumper. But my Insurance Company ruled me 100% at fault, and wouldn't cover the damage on my car. Even tho I went to court over it, and the courts ruled it 50/50.. Anyways, my 6000 had over 400,000 kilometers(250,000 miles) on it, I drove it out to the wrecking yard, when I got rid of her. :nono: :argh: :nono:

Clearly admitting fault...

I hate you.

Were you there? Do you know all the circumstances? Yup, I hit the gas, because I saw an opening. BUT The Honda was speeding, the witness backed it up, should have shared 50% of the blame. It wasnt 100% my fault...
Ghaleon, I know you hate me, and really I dont give a flying f**k.

99+% of the time when someone rearends another, it's the rearender who is to blame, not the rearended.
you were following too close

Ray, pull your head out of your ass.... Because you obviously missed this. I hit it so hard, I broke the passenger side axle, and pushed the motor over by 4", Now I dont ever remember Honda Civics being anything but Front Wheel Drive... So being that I hit the car on the front corner. I WAS NOT 100% at fault...

No, my insurance is still $2500 p/year for basic. We dont have a monopoly for insurance in BC. We have ONE insurance company, and that is ICBC. They're the biggest bunch of crooks..
