Just had to share with all ya'll my glorious victory in my 2006' Fantasy Football League. Out of 12 people, I finished in 5th in regular season (tied with 5 other people for 3rd at 7-6, but tie breaker dropped me down.
Well, I made it to the championship game by winning my first two weeks of the playoffs (106.05-96, and 145.30-102.25, respectively). From the other half of the bracket (8 teams), my brother happened to make it through too, so the championships had that much more goin' for it.
Well, after what seemed like forever, the Dal/Phil game ended and I was on top 123.55-75.25. So, not only do I get a T-shirt that I can wear around my friends to rub it in, I also get to hang onto the new trophy we made until next year, and get about $175 as well.
Man, I love football. Should have been back to back championships, since I lost the championship game last year by less than 3 points, when Correy Dillon was benched during the third quarter of his game. Just 25 more yards rushing, and I would have had it. I was afraid the same shit would happen again, but luckily it didn't :)
Now, being a Lions fan, I can officially claim that football is over for the year. Fuck the playoffs. Though I suppose I can still win some $$$ when I run squares at the SuperBowl. :P
