Speaker link: http://www.infinitysystems.com/caraudio/category.asp?Ser=KPE

AMP Link: http://www.precisionpower.com

THUMP THUMP THUMP *

Tell me about your car audio exploits,i was quoterd at over $1000 for all Rockford Fosgate shit. My AMP is a competition level AMP and very nice subs.

The wole damn thing would cost about $1524 for install. I schemed my way out of it by paying about *$900.

The expense come from it being all "Competition Level" equipment, you could get it all for alot less but this is the shit that the professionals use for pro audio contests. All of the above components are top of the line in quality down to the power cable which costed about $110.

I am in the process of buying myself 2 Chrome Plated MTX subs...

12" MTX 250RMS 500MAX 4ohm

I am going to be replacing my 12" Rockford Fosgate Punch sub (4ohms) with 2 12" MTX Chrome subs (in parrallel for 2ohm impedance) then my RockFord Amp can output 775 watts (bridged @ 2 ohm) where as it only was outputin 350watts at 4ohms... I think it should hit pretty damn hard now

AND I am purchasing the shell for my truck on Saturday!! the start of my NEW sound system has thus begun.... teehee...

I think its time to go DVD... ooooo yeah

It doesn't take alot of wattage to get alot of bass, especially with just two 12's. If you get the right speakers and put them in the right box you can push them with barely over 200.

yup yup.... I make custom boxes... I know all about how to get the right bass from the right box... I just hate doing all the math! But I understand yah.... MTX subs require lots of space and movement... my friend has 2 of them in a sealed box... and they hit hard with is 300watt amp...

I go for more of a long distance runner kind of thing... not just 1 hard hit when the bass hits.... I like the long constant bass... Nothing beats listening to a bass guitarist and actually feeling what he is playing...

But I got 2 other subs that are just for the hard punch... but those are shitty subs and I don't care... I've had really nice subs in my boxes and they sound just the same... SO... I think it shall be fine..

In any case, Yah like your new stereo Invis?

Picked these up for under $500 total.

I picked up two 12" hifonics zeus 450rms 4ohm subs inside a nice custom enclosure, a rockford fosgate bd1500.1 amp, and a pioneer deck for under $500. Got a nice 4 gauge amp kit and threw that shit into my *cough* 2002 kia rio (tried seven different dealers and nobody would finance me).

It may not be the perfect car to put it in, but it sounds damn good.
