What do you guys think? We usually have about 65 players logged on at a time. After checking turbosentry, would it be safe to say that these are the leaders?

I have a lot of new things lined up, so hopefully we can take the lead as largest worldgroup BBS.

Yes it is. Its registered and legit.



2 of the muds are completely legit settings and 1 is hexed, so the legit and non-legit muds are completely seperated from one another.

The only reason why its not on turbosentry (which it used to be) is because I put a link to another hexed mud back when i had no hexed muds on the system, and snigglez being the bitch that he/she is saw it and took me off the listing.

I thought hexing makes it non-legit in that it voids your registration.

Yup, voids your registration and any technical support for taht mud, but he's running multimud so it probably only applies to the edited MUD.

Actually I believe in the original licensing with WCC it didn't say anything about hexing or altering the mud at all. The newer one though I think says something about not being able to receive any future updates from metropolis if you hex or edit your majormud in any way. Which obviously I'm not that concerned about seeing as metro releases updates every 10 years or so.



There is no way for a company to VOID your registration. If you PAY for the software its yours and your free to do whatever you want to it except redistribute it. I'm pretty sure of this.



As for the domain, it was never re-registered after I bought the WG software from a company called CyberWorld owned by Joe Rykowski and Brian Cook about 5-6 years ago (maybe more). I ran the board from my garage for about 3 years under the domain quicksilverbbs.servegame.com (as well as plenty of others ie. retromud.servegame.com) until a fire which destroyed the server and everything on it. I then re-opened it about 2 years ago and registered the domain quicksilverbbs.com sometime within the last year. I sent a few emails to metro about getting the registration changed but heard nothing back from them obviously.



The WB must have just recently bought it because the last time i checked it was owned by one of those domain resale companies.

all of those board you compare to have 1 mud... you have 3.

the largest mud board i ever hosted, was 1 char per ip, 1 mud, and 60 users. that was a blast.

never said anything about being the largest 'mud'... just the largest worldgroup BBS. I think by now, quicksilver is in first place.
