OK - so I managed to get a WG 3.20 NT up and running, and the actcode thingy has made me a 256 user code that does actually work (all 256 channels open)... _
the problem is that every time I shut the bbs down for cleanup, the system pops up a window that says "enter your activation code" before it will come back up again. _
Is there a simple fix for this, or should I uninstall and go looking for another keygen?

hmmm thats odd... if it says its reged in audit it should be ok... check your registry serrtings... local user -- software - gcomm - wgs - make sure the activation code you entered is there... if that doest help ya try different codes...

One time I had a code that opened up all 256 nodes on the system yet still ran in 'demo' mode. In other words all the channels were open but after 2 hours it would still automatically go offline. Kinda strange but it sounds like the same problem.

I checked some more and although all 256 channels open, the bbs chokes after 2 hours, so I guess I am still in demo mode.
I'm going to delete it all and try again. If anyone has a recommendations as to what version of the demo to try or what actcode generator to use, please pass the clue on to me!

I dunno if this has anything to do with it but at one point somebody told me that there were actually two installation packages for WG 3.20, one older than the other. They said I needed the older one. I really have no clue if that's the case or not but after downloading another installation package I didn't have any more problems. It could have just been a difference in the red code...shrug

this is true... the one you want is WG320.exe 27.8 MB (29,179,904 bytes) i have heard that the other one doesnt work right at all and was crippled somehow... was just meant to be a demo only..

Yeah it's like in the demo only distro it is hard coded to never give up on the two hour time limit... seems like they might have decided to not make it able to unlock to 256 channels but I guess with a 2 hour limit it doesn't matter.
