Lions got fucked by the Raiders, who took the player we, the fans, all wanted.
Had a friend who went to the draft party at Ford Field, he said people were going crazy when Huff got taken. We grabbed an OLB in the first, and a S in the second, both are likely to start. We also got Wisconsin's RB in the 3rd, which is sort of Hit'n'Miss. We have Kevin Jones who's only in his 3rd year and was supposed to be our back for years to come.
I can't say I complain that we're going defense, we need it and our new coach is a defensive expert. I'm just hoping Mike Martz has enough on the offensive side of the ball to make some stuff happen.

Well, my Lions surprised me with what I think was a decent draft. Mostly defense, but they got some late round bargains. In rd. 5, they drafted Jonathan Scott, who was a unanimous first-team all-american OT for the (national champion) Longhorns. Then, in the 7th, they snagged Fred Matua, who was also an all-american, at OG, coming out of (national runner-up) USC.
So 2 solid Off. Linemen. 2 LB's and 2 Def. Secondary. The RB I'm still not sure about, but he's a small/speedy guy who came out of the Big Ten, so I'll hold my breath. Maybe Martz saw something faulk-like in him. /crossfingers

Lets go Vince Young! Billy Volek is said to have the lead on starting as of right now. Overall, looking at the draft people may not think Tennessee got a good draft, combined with what they picked up last year, and this year, they have an outside shot of making a wildcard, I say that with more fan enthusiasm than with realism though.
