I would like to add something about my BBS.
The reason I created Quicksilver was because I had spend several years of playing mud only to have my player deleted or baned because I talked bad to or pvped one of the sysops pet players. It was very irritating. So I decided why not create a BBS where the players run the system. Where only the most powerful can give out commands.
At Quicksilver I am no more of an op than the players themselves. I dont give out lives, I dont give out anything, period. So dont ask, and if you do, expect to have your request sent over gossips with a big 'no' attached to the end of it. My telepaths and pages are off in game now as well.
I'm sorry, but thats just the way I run things. There are too many BBS's out there where the players get sysop goto or unlimited lives. If you dont like games to challenge you, then don't come to Quicksilver.
So as for rules of the BBS go, the only rule I have is against hording. I understand completely why people do it, but the problem is, once its done, those people leave and the BBS dies. I have had it happen too many times. SO if you get caught doing it there will be a problem. And that goes for hording in rooms as well, I'm no noob.
