well due to the eject drawer being stuck out i recently had to remove my top lid of my old style ps2 to fix this, during this i accidently severed the top lid connection to the main base, meaning i cant access the open and reset button, can anyone tell me how i can turn my ps2 off standby

I'm assuming you dont have a remote for your PS2? You can try ordering a replacement part from ebay thats what i had to do.

will one of those fliptop covers make a good replacement then

also which remote control is it that has the power button, i dont think the sony one has one
