i thought the Socket AM2 was a DDR2 upgrade and integrated PCI Express controller? although i'm not quite sure on if the latencies on DDR2 translate 1:1 with DDR1 as i've seen my DDR2 @ 4-4-4 latencies and my DDR1 @ 2-3-3. if the rumours are true then i'm definitely not too hyped about higher latencies from DDR2. i assume the integrated PCI Express controller is another move by AMD to reduce inherent latencies with the controller being on the bus. (just hope it can beat conroe, but if not oh well... i'd have to buy a new motherboard/cpu anyhow, to upgrade.)
