i would like to spruce up my bbs.. make male users show blue.. femaile red/pink when one does a who/search..

Thats all done thru your globals gerry. You might have to edit the ANSI files using an ANSI editor to alter the colors accordingly.

fu globals does this pretty easily. Serperate Colors based on keys and gender.
