The Skeleton Key

Baise-Moi, it's a very good french flick. worth watching over and over.

Battle Royale I & II are pretty twisted, though I've only seen parts of each. Ichi(sp?) the Killer is a f'd up movie also along those lines. There's the original version and a hollywood re-make, I suggest the latter.

Boondock Saints was a quiet movie when it came out, though it kind of blew up so you may have seen it by now.

Happiness is a great movie. Very weird and funny. I don't want to give the plot away, but it is a pretty f'ed up movie. Not for the sensitive.

heh, i haven't watched a movie in nearly 5 years. i think the artistic value in them is declining exponentially. the artsy form where with alliterations, allusions, the use of colloquial language, hyperboles, antithesis and parallel constructions not to mention rhetorical questions ruins the whole plot. also i'm sick of proverbial expressions. to me it's just stylistic gymnastics in the movies and the general right minded people or emotionally unstable people are able to appreciate the drama built up in many films today. i prefer films that don't cater to these kind of people, such as Hoodlum. there isn't a hint of "newage" art in it. it's got a rigid oldschool feel to it and it's about black and white gangsters. ftw.
