a friend of mine stated that he believed hendrix had the ability of synaesthesia (sounds having colors.) his argument whatever it may have been was that the famous chord in purple haze (hendrix chord as it's known) is his favorite. this being a particularly weak argument and well, conjecture and nonesense. based on general knowledge synaesthesia can be easily experienced by the use of psychoactive substances. in fact i have my doubts that hendrix could experience synaesthesia while sober unless he allowed himself to figuratively speaking "let go" or space out.

it makes more sense that he experienced it while on LSD than being sober. i don't like believing in mystified ideas like this.
