Ugh... Majormud-users 0-

I just started up my first board, installed majormud, etc. It never asked me for my registration key when I installed so I put it in by going through Security and Accounting and adding it there. Now, instead of the Demo version it, it has the user license set to 0! Now I can't even get in. =/ Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Take out the license when the board is down, and up it.

Reinstall Mud if need be.

Uninstall everything, remove strings from registry. (eXtreme)

Is this for a legit or cracked mud?

Ok, took out code and restarted WG. Users still set to 0. Shutdown server and then ran setup again. Is it supposed to ask you for code during setup? It doesn't ask me. Its already recopied and is now in dos prompt doing the whole conversion thing.

edit: Oh, haven't tried the registry string thing yet. Going to see if I can clean that up and reinstall.

Didn't work. I cleaned everything, uninstalled WG and deleted the folder and then reinstalled everything. The installation document they sent with the software says to put in the code in the Security and Accounting. I typed it in correctly and everything and still has it set to 0 users!! I haven't a clue as to why. Is there any other place to put in the code??

P.S. A friend who used to have a bbs was getting rid of it and I asked if I could have it, so I assume its legit. Unless, of course, his was a crack. =/

only when you install WG it ask your for the code. majormud does not ask for the code during install. your MM code and the WG code have to align. the legit MM codes are derived from the BBS reg number which is derived from the WG activation code.

Hrm... So what you're saying is, the MM that my friend gave me is only valid with his copy of WG??
