Ok so I'll do this again:

I installed a copy of Worldgroup FRESH - never been on my hd before. Everything works fine... no problems logging on or anything.

I then go to install Mud version 1.11g.

Everything appears to install correctly, except when I try to start up the BBS it says the following:

The following modules, which are required by other (and it continues, except it only shows it ONCE and it goes away so I don't know exactly what it is), then the board continues to load and it gives me this error:

3/16/02 66:38 PM C:\WGSERV\WGSERVER.EXE - LOADDLL: Unable to load module WCCMMUD.DLL! A device attached to the system is not functioning. (0x1f).

I THEN take the WCCMMUD.DLL out of the zip from the mud install files, and copy it my c:\WGSERV\ directory, and it says the file is allready there, so I overwrite it, same error. I THEN look into the .zip file the 1.11g crack comes in, and it has a wccmmud.dll file there BUT it's about 200k smaller, so I overwrite with THAT file, and here's what happens:

[date] [time] C:\WGSERV\WGSERVER.EXE - BTRIEVE OPEN ERROR 12 ON FILE ".\WCCRACE2.DAT"

now I'm fuckin lost.

any ideas?

You probably have a corrupt version of mud. You might try getting it again from somewhere else. And if it keeps doing that, I am gonna say you are pretty much shit outta luck

k well you know where I can get a copy of mud?

The only place I know is where I got this version - and it doesn't wanna work so....

sounds to me like you must have the mod 9 UPDATE, not he whole mod 9..only reason i can think of.

Dont think they released an "Update" package, should come as just the basic installer, and if your trying to upgrade from 1.11g to 1.11i your in for a fun ride.

Yea sounds like you have a bad mud zip file... I have a goiod copy of both mod 9 and 1.11h if you want a copy message me or somthing....
