I finally bought flyleaf and 10 years.... i have to say flyleaf is very good. She sounds a lot like Avril Levigne though.... but I actually think she is a lot better. I think Avril is a good singer.. but her music is too juvenille for me. She doesn't speak to what I know or have experienced... but flyleaf does. As for 10 years... I had d/l'ed a crappy copy of the album and from what I did hear or what wasn't corrupted was awesome.... so awesome that I broke down and bought it. The song they play off the radio for 10 years "Wasteland" you might know the lyrics "change my attempt, good intentions... limbs tied.. skin tight" anyway, that song doesn't do the whole album justice. They remind me of a mix of Chevelle and Tool... two bands that I adore emensely.



I am severely picky about the female singers I listen to. Being a singer, I am most critical of myself, but I am very critical of other female singers as well. And flyleaf is definately worth the money I paid for it. While I am all for "free" music... I believe in supporting the artists I truly WANT to support, not so much through cd sales.. cause they don't get hardly anything from those... so.. go support your favorite artists by going to their concerts!



Honorable mention: I originally went to the store wanting to buy Evans Blue.... I had heard the song several times.. never knowing who it was, and fell in love with it more and more everytime I listened to it. While driving today I was listening to it on the radio and HAD to have it... only to find out it hasn't been released yet?!?!?!?! Their record company says to be released in Febuary.. no date... just the month... be as it may, when it finally DOES come out... I will let you guys know how it is.



Sorry this post is a little all over the place... I am on painkillers right now. Anyway.. yeah... so. My next review shall be better, and probably a little more descriptive and lyrical. Who knows.. maybe in the next couple of days I will give a full review of these three bands.
