Food for thought. [Archive] - ForumsHQ

Just made an acolyte, planning on going monk so he's still a physical character. There's only one problem. One of the "bugs" involving shopkeepers (namely the guy who crashes w/out showing his wares) prevents me from buying any weapon that's an upgrade it all. This is bad. That is all.

EDIT: Ok, thanks to Fralid I found a place that sells some of the mace weapons. I'm set for now, but this error should be in the forefront for needed fixes. Invis...I'm not saying you need to spend all your time "fixing" the game, because if you can't play and have fun then what's the point of hosting it. Just trying to point out that this bug(s) can cause real gameplay issues.

So, in the meantime, if anyone comes across a "Chain" (mace) or a "Wire Whip" (whip) please holla back at me. Seeing how they're the expensive tier 2's (20k), though, I doubt it'll happen anyime soon.

EDIT: The mace(s) can be bought in northeast corner of pronterra, inside the church at the back right of the chapel.

Just wanted to say thank you to Invisigod and Xetox for putting alot of thier private time into this game to make it run and work. It is very appreciated even though its only a small group of us for now.

I enjoy playing it when I get home from work at night. Id play it at work too but the corporate firewall doesnt play nice with port 6901 unfortunatly.

Thanks again and keep up the great work. Its appreciated.

Thanks to everybody who plays that makes it worthwhile. And especially thanks to Zan and Ari who are constantly finding the bugs and testing new things for stability.

I always feel like more of a nuisance than a play-tester. :P But hey, it's entertaining, and if ever I seem frustrated or irritable, just know that it'll likely pass quickly. This post being a prime example. First post 8:41, 2nd 8:45. First edit 8:55, 2nd 8:57. :P

Invis, What ever you happen into, is always a good thing. Lunar was an awsome mmud, To which I have been happy to be apart of for the last few years.

I haven't ever been much into mmorpg's til you introduced me into this new addiction.

Anything I can do to help, I'll gladdly do.

So, I cruised both these sites, and have come to the conclusion that it's all over my head. Never was that great of a coder, so it mainly looks like gibberish to me.

If it comes to a point where you want to add shopkeepers with slotted armor, or research drop rates, etc. look me up though, I can do some of your grunt work if need be. I think more changes are in order (in my opinion, characters level out real fast around base lvl 40 / job 30). We need more power somehow, and I have some ideas in mind but don't want to get into them much until some of the bugs are smoothed over, and you've had time to get used to running / editing things.
