Don't confuse that with lack of resources or ability to get rid of the bbs pirates.

i don't have much to say here only 'cause it's already been said and i agree with most of what has been written. i would just want to make sure people don't get it in their minds that metro "allows it." they don't "allow it" per say, it's just the money and time it would cost to actually make sure a bbs goes down and stays down is a lot more than it's worth (IMHO).

Actually think on this for a minute..

How many boards have Metro really gone after.

Back in the beginning there was a jump on the bandwagon to report illegal boards but thats stopped now.

Its either people are being closed mouth about it or Metro doesnt have the time/money to care enough.

Like I said before, if they only hire ONE coader hardly have any mmud purchases outside of mods, why the hell would they want to spend their money getting boards shut down.

I say LET them try! God forbid they actually try to sue some poor kid whos like 15.

I also did what Aragon did a few years ago with illegal boards and metro didnt respond nor say thank you for anything.

I started to come here looking for information about setting up a editted board and was shown that editting isnt against the law and with the pirating well, its all tongue in cheek.

Its cool to try to change the outlook MMB gets from the mud community but it will NEVER change since metro has all those

ass-kissers bowing to their every word.

Shannon is just a bitch who shits out a newborn every few years and her husband is an idiot who has metro be coaded the way he thinks mud should be like... More "Realistic"

Yeah...okay riiiight

Dark casts the spell of idiot on Metro! Metro releases a new mod years from now!!

Dark, you look like an idiot mis-spelling the word "code" ten times. Sorry dude.

Let's try to get this thread back on topic. What options does Mouser have? He says he emailed them, did you get an email back yet? As far as I know, they can terminate your license for any reason they see fit. If you have a problem with them terminating your license (which you do), you can take them to court. Do as Reck said and get a consultation with a lawyer. Make sure to bring a copy of your license with you, and a copy of the posts they made references to. I personally think it will cost more than it's worth to bring them to court.

You can not stop them from terminating your license and getting support/future updates unless you bring them to court. You can't say "Hey, that's not fair." They will just say "Hey, that's life buddy," and go on with their business.

They'd also have to prove that you distributed the software, which is the whole basis of their claim. If you've not distributed it you've got nothing to worry about. Posts on a forum are hearsay as Aragon said and wouldn't stand up in a court of law. If after you sue them for revoking your license, you could sue them for slander/libel. Claiming you did something that you didn't is a big no no. Now remember one thing, don't run off to their forums and start posting away. That would be sheer idiocy. If you want to be done with them and live peacefully, learn restraint.

You can go talk to a lawyer for free but whos going to pay your lawyer bills if you decided to bring it to court.

You can try to have Metro pay for your court costs but you have to include that in the suit also.

My suggestion is to just run an edited board. Least youve got the support here if you run into trouble.

You spend the money he spent on WG/Mud, and then say screw it and run an edited board. It's hard to flush money down the toilet.
