we were all scared of metro back then man. we were a minority, with no more than 20 of us, at least 20 who were open about it. she was just one of the more open ones, and she was threatened with lawsuits, she was IN COURT with them she said. shit i would've been scared, they have a lawsuit for $2000+ of pirated software. i wouldn't buy it, but i sure as hell wouldn't be stubborn about it anymore, damn. that's a lotta money.

I highly doubt Metro has the time or money to go after anyone.

If so wed hear ALOT more cases

They don't have to go after everyone, just a few examples would cut it down some. Whether that correlates into more sales is debatable. I doubt it would, they'd just move to open source mud's I bet!

And yet, after lisa got cought and went ligit, no one in the underground of metro gave a shit about not making illegal copies of the software.....Hell, i think when she finally opened the board up to metro standards i talked to ray for a few by emails and had my board up for friends

From what I understand...metro doesn't bother at all to go looking for us...they wait for some stupid lame sysop or lamer pissed off player that didn't get their way on an edited board to turn em in. If they get enuf info, THEN they act..and only if they are sure it would not cost em alot of money, I'm sure...

They are just a bunch of fat lazy corporate people that ignmores anything out side of their scope of vision.

Lemme see if I can clear this up with the truth, seems everything has become more rumors than anything else. I have a friend who was inside with Metro who warned me they were looking into me and Erekose running a pirated/hexed mud. They had obtained all information they needed to prosecute my husband and I. Everything from our SSN's to driving records, address's from years ago up to now, everything you could imagine, they had. I have 2 children (1 at the time) and facing jail time was *NOT* an option for me. We were luckily presented with an offer from another current mud owner to purchase his wg/mud license for 750$. I don't know many people who wouldnt jump all over software worth 5000$+ at the price of 750$. So we took the deal and went legit.



While many people see me as a hexer turned kiss ass, thats fine, thats your opinion of me. I haven't turned my back on my friends and that's the bottom line. I still hold many friendships with people who hex/pirate and will continue to do so. They have supported me as a friend and I will do the same for them. Will I support them with mud updates and supplying information to them to contribute to hexing? No. I will not risk voiding my license with Metro and throwing 750$ down the drain. My friends who hex/edit know this and respect my wishes to do so and understand. Do I help them when possible with questions as a SysOp? yes, I do. I help them in any way that I can that will not put my users and my license with Metro on the line in any way. Bottom line is that I enjoy being a SysOp. I enjoy playing in a realm I've created in an environment I enjoy. I purchased mud because I was sick of looking for a good realm and coming up empty handed like many others. I wanted somewhere *I* could play, enjoy playing there and not ever worry about it disappearing one day, or characters being lost/deleted with no explaination.



As far as Dark is concerned. His issues are personal, and unfortunately for him, someday he will see the light and possibly realize where he has been quite wrong and influenced by the wrong people. I don't have any issues with him. He is entitled to his opinion of me, and while I may not agree with that opinion, I respect it as his opinion.

I trusted a lot of people I shouldn't have and it happened to be more than 1 person who had us turned in. A few of those people happened to BE friends. But everything happened for a reason and it's done and over with. I don't hold grudges and I got on with my life, maybe it's time you did the same and got on with your life. This constant obsesssion with me and Erekose has me worried, it's a good thing you don't have enough common sense and smarts to be a stalker.

but anyways, did you at all see any forms come from Metro lawyers? Words dont mean shit and after they paid for MMud, I highly doubt they would of spent the money to go after you.

My personal life has nothing to do with my mud, or majormud or worldgroup or the situation at hand, but since you addressed it. Archie has been sober and clean for well over a year and has been more than a good husband. I believe in second chances, especially when it's a marriage. People make mistakes and you are no better to judge others when you have made plenty of mistakes yourself. I don't condone what he did, but I don't believe I made the wrong decision by any means, and if I have, then that is something *I* have to live with, not you. What is your deep obsession with me and my marriage really about? You need some serious help.
