see, i jokingly made an idle threat... and you totally went all out in depth about your recourse against me. you just validated my point, Raiden...you couldn't handle a playful idle threat.. no one in the right mindset would take what i wrote in that style as being genuinely sincere... i always make those kindof threats/jokes all the time.. i'm sorry but this is my vindication and my point is proven. you went pretty deep with your response and what will be done to me... how can you say you take what i say "with a grain of salt" then make a detailed response to an idle threat coming from me?

Erek... You need to realize that when you make an open-ended 'threat' to a server that hosts a mud as large as Boink, that of course it's operators are going to take necessary steps to protect against that 'threat'.
Whether it was idle or not, you don't go around publicly hinting that something awe-inspiring and terrible is going to happen to a board.
I can't handle a 'playful' threat? You need to realize that every large board struggles with users that make a vain attempt to wreak havok, cause discourse, and make a calamity. I've struggled with them in the past, and still do occassionally.
Anyone who 'jokingly makes an idle threat' can become a security concern. And if you go flipping your mouth around, especially in a place as public as this... I will take the steps I feel necessary to maintain a cautious balance against that threat.
Do me a favor... Either take me off of your AIM, or stop posting this material just to 'spark a reaction' out of myself or others, as you so kindly pointed out on AIM to me when you made the post.

I am not sure of the legalities for having an edited mud, but I think its on the don't ask don't tell kind of basis. Perhaps metro still cares, who knows. Raiden claims to have paid for it, and maybe thats why metro leaves him alone. But then in the agreement it states that you cant edit it...so I don't know. I think it is a bunch of crap, you pay for mud, you do whatever you want with it, is my opinion. Hey I have even played on boards that were free, and they never paid for mud. I don't have a problem with that. They aren't in it for money (DUH? Free boards?)

That is why they are '"fly-by night" (quoting metro's website now), because they are reported and asked to be taken offline. It's a freaking text game, and some ops cannot afford to purchase it, so they get a crack. Some ops purchase it, but realize that the dope heads at metro made it so hard (In my opinion ok?) and limited that some people dont like unedited mud. I REALLY enjoy edited mud, I go places I have never been, and it doesnt take me years to level, plus you can get higher levels than you are suppose to. It adds personality to the game, you can add your own new areas and 'mods' ; (If we all did that, why would we ever need to buy new moduals? Maybe thats what metro is afraid of...)

They like it, and if you or anybody has fun taking peoples enjoyment away for kicks, that is called sadism, and you are one sadistic bastard. Karma is real asshole, and it finds you, so just be nice to people like you wanna be treated, and sooner or later good stuff will happen. But if you enjoy logging onto bbs's to flame and act like a retard, or (the whole thing about hexed BBS's was to anyone it applies to) like to turn hexed boards into the authorities, be my freaking guest.
