Yeah I'm sure you've never given your pals information on how hard one of your edited monsters hit, what they drop, how to find them.. or anything of that sort. You don't directly take advantage, But Everyone *EXCEPT* People your not friends with Do.









Ok, I just had to point this out because it made me laugh. All the monsters in a legit realm have all their stats posted in various places on the internet. But, if an edited realm or it's sysop posts or lets people know the stats on the edited monsters, it's cheating.



From how this flamewar is going, that's how this comment reads.



Perhaps if someone wants to know how hard that an edited monster hits or what it drops, or even where it's at, they can go find out for themselves OR they can ask. Legit monsters are all common knowledge with the advent of maps and viewers such as mudview.





Oh, one more point, in general to Miles...whats with This capitalization of Random words in a sentence? It just makes you look a little less than average intelligence to disregard basic grammatical rules.

All the bosses I kill are normal one. They all regen within 3 hours and are all posted on MudCentral and every other place that has MajorMud info. :) :hump:

This website isn't informative at all. And 90% of the user's to fail to recognize the tiny link at the top of the page that dosn't stand out nor is underlined. Again, Being able to ask a Sysop, Personally, and get the answer first hand IMHO is an Advantage. Simply "Hey Edge, do you think me (and my wife) can handle Gor-Gor and his area?"..



Would you feel more comfortable having the information ALONG with an opinion come first hand from the person who edited it? Or would you rather ask in a Forum or a Gossip? That's how bullshit answers are fabricated, and that's a good way to waste endless hours on a wild goose chase.



If you are interested in a change that is being made to MajorMUD, would you be more comfortable getting the Information from IZaK first hand, along with an opinion from him. OR, Would you like to gather your information from gossips, message boards, and half-assed websites? That's what I thought.



The website shows very little detail, and Edge is the only person who can know exactly what each monster does. I'm sure he never is asked questions like "How hard does Gor-Gor hit for?", "What kind of Special Attacks does Gor-Gor have?", "Does he cast poison spells, elemental spells, end spells?"... Yeah, I'm sure none of this is ever a discussion within the Sysop's gang which he admits to using for the testing of bugs, and new things. Avantage them? Yes.. Avantage Public? No.. Why not give everyone in the realm a MMUD Explorer Export so we can see the COMPLETE Info? Or maybe there is possibly something that he wouldn't want to normal public to know about.

It's not a flamewar, Edge is not "cheating".. He is not outright editing himself exp or anything real lame. I just am pointing out several reasons why people choose not to play on realms that could be great. I am questioning the reason for a Sysop using his powers to his own Advantage... It always happens, never talked about, and It's about time someone stuck up for a touch of fairness.

If you have nothing to hide, then why not make a MMud Explorer Database so Everyone can see, EVERYTHING. I personally, will enjoy looking at those databases very closely.



PS. If I wanted this to be a flame thread I would of posted the multiple captures of people's gossips stating how Edge has cheated in the past, and wrongfully banned users. Alot of those users share the same Opinions as me about fairness, and They were shunned and called Idiots.. Imagine that? How does one get 15 goru-nezar heads in the White ganghouse on day 1? You tell me.

I never even realized how unnoticable the link to that page is until you said something. Now that I know, I'll work on something that gets a little more attention. That monster info page was never even there until halfway through the last reset, because people asked for it. If people want more info, ask for it. It's not hard.



How the hell is it possible to get 15 goru heads in one day? And with the whole 2 or 3 people who quest good, why would anyone even save 15 heads in their gang house? Show me these gossips, I'm curious who said these things, and what kind of cheating I supposedly did. I've banned 2 people in 2 years. Artic, and Moo. I punish people who spam the gossips, but mostly only send them to jail. Some I boot, some I warn, but if they're not banned, they're always welcome back as long as they're not annoying. I'm not 14 and I don't want my realm overrun by 14 year olds, or 30 year olds who act 14. It's a GAME. It's meant for fun. If you've got someone being excessively annoying to where you have to turn off your gossips, it sort of loses a bit of fun, doesn't it?



I don't know what you're trying to prove, because basically you could have just quit and left it at that, but you're trying to run me into the ground, and not doing a very good job of it. I might lose a couple users, and that's fine and dandy, but anyone who actually KNOWS me and has played with me for more than 2 weeks knows I don't cheat. I don't let my ops cheat. One op had a quest spell that was rediculous... 10 rounds stun... I couldn't figure out how to fix it, cuz in dats it was set for 2 rounds... so I took the stun off completely the other day. I screw everyone over, not just people I don't know. I screwed myself over when I was playing a mage, which I did for 4 or 5 resets, by lowering the power of my spells, removing the mage healing spell, etc. Now I'm a ninja, and now there's so many ninja only items, so I must be cheating, even though throughout mud's history there have been quite a few ninja only items, and NEVER did that make them the best class in the game.
