good morning,
well, i didn't want to have to make this personal, but obviously i don't have a choice..
what is there to say? i hardly believe it warrants a 1 month suspension. we chatted this morning syntax and i didn't 'deny' i knew what was going on, of course i did. but i did nothing more than invite you... we tried to figure out a solution, but unfortunately other than hanging up, there's no way to 'stop' it happening when you are in a party with someone ELSE (i.e. scripting with 2 or more people).
also, you died in the round you hung up on, ray double critted. we were lucky, and your gear was offered back to you (not by me, i didn't take anything).
i've had it done to me a few times, sure it sucks, but you know, you get over it.. it's only because you're the sysop that anything's been done. if it was anyone else, abusing any other bug (i.e. party share money bug) there wouldn't have been an issue.
it seems that a lot of players on this board are rather 'tender'. why are you giving ray shit? ray is a good bloke and ran a fantastic bbs. i think to myself, if we 'd done the same to ray on his bbs, nothing would come of it, he'd deal with it. most people on this board are like.. xenophobic.. very unhelpful.. maybe it should be a non-pvp board. demonmud will be great, but i bet people like "kai shadowbane" (dust) and "dark" (mango) won't play, as it will be a little too 'rough' for them..
anyway; dark - (mango).
1) what does poopy have to do with anything? he did nothing but kill you after you attacked his script (and mine) 5 times in a row EACH.. taking eps each time?
2) i dont talk shit to no one for no reason? there is always a reason.
3) xp leeching? er.. what? i was scripting shadowfist.. making a lot more than you were.. you gonna tell me where i can and cant script? i leeched off giant in duergars for like 20 minutes..
sorry if this isnt the right forum for half this sh1t.. just trying to make a few things clear.. and wondering why the sentence was so harsh. 1 month is ridiculous.. i wouldnt expect more than a warning and being told if i abuse it again i'd be banned. that's more than fair. why does everyone think it's "my fault"?!

All I'm going to say is - this isn't Rays BBS. We don't do things based on what we thing Ray would do in the same situation. We do what we think should be done. Not to say Rays BBS was bad..but everyone does things their own way..not how someone else would do them - or whats the point in running a BBS?
The fact that its a bug, and your whole post about you knowing what it was and helping/going along with it means you were exploiting it..and thats not the type of people we want runnin around on morbid.

i think what you all fail to realize is that it's not a bug in majormud, it's a bug in mega... you cannot be in a party without being invited.
now being punished for a bug in megamud is just silly... you act like megamud is PART of the game...
sure you can't really get to high lvl without megamud these days, but if your board punishes for abusing the MANY bugs in there, that's bs. i mean stock megamud doesn't recognize any of the higher druid spells, and even some of the lower ones. you and anybody else can be killed by a druid with higher spells because the victim would just sit there and die... now, that sounds like it's no different than this thing syntax/plat/whoever the hell else wants to complain about this.
my point is simply this: it is not only unreasonable, but stupid to punish people for using bugs in a massively buggy program. megamud is askin to be abused, for the love of god...
yeah it's majormud's problem that it has a person join you when they're not even invited, but still, the bug is overall megamud's fault.
