Word. First it was SegaCD then that 32x BS. I actually didn't buy any of those addons cuz I knew there would be a machine that would crush the genesis .

well the latest news is that Sega is looking for a buyer for the company and godforbid, it looks like a fight between EA and Microsoft! Now when EA first started, I enjoyed their products but then they became microsoft size and ate up alot of smaller companies such as Origin (same people who created Wing commander and the Ultima series).

Either way, i really REALLY hope whoever buys sega continues the PS series to compete against FF. That would be quite interesting to watch :)

Hmmm. time to whip out my runic coins to place a bid for Sega. Real damn shame, I had mad respect for Sega. I completely agree about EA becoming a giant asshole when they got big. When they took over Virgin Games, they were in the process of making this cool PS game called Thrill Kill. Was like a combo of Tekken and Mortal Kombat taken to a more morbid and gothic level. Super violent and graphic game: EA didn't like it and it never got released. Yet there are some copies floating around some colleges of a beta version that was released right b4 the takeover.

I would hate to see Microsoftisim buy Sega.

that's interesting that MS is going for sega too, since Sega's software dept is still alive and kicking, what is scary is that MS is trying to purchase (or already have, haven't kept tabs on it) the holder company for a few major game companies such as Verant and Blizzard

Not a chance...As long as Blizzard keeps coming out with the awesome games they do, they wont be bought out and I dont think Blizzard would be stupid enough to sell to anyone. Im thinking they would more likely buy other companies
